US Army Veteran

Rather than pursue a career in the U.S. Olympics, Shane Vincent enlisted in the army to go fight for his country.

While out on assignment in Iraq, Shane’s vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb, killing one soldier and seriously injuring Shane and another soldier. Shane died three times after the explosion, but was revived.

After suffering a broken back, broken neck and broken pelvis, the road to recovery was a long one. When he got home, he found he was still fighting with depression, anxiety, survivor’s guilt, and suicide.

Shane got back into fitness to help him deal with the trauma of his experiences overseas. He saw the gym as a place that united people and helped them on the road to healing.

Today, Shane is committed to helping other veterans by using the gym not just for physical healing, but for the restoration of the individual person as a whole.
